You come from a food manufacturing, food service or food distribution background and love leading & building sales teams because you're a competitive person by nature.
Your biggest strength is your coaching ability - you know how to identify each team member's strengths & weaknesses, and then work with them to get them performing.
You're adaptable and great with people, but you're also pragmatic & you judge people by performance & outcomes - not "gut feels" or emotions. You know how to hold high standards without killing morale.
You want an exciting new opportunity. Something with aggressive growth goals and the chance to join a global brand that's still relatively new to the Australian market - and help it grow significantly.
This role is a Sales Manager position for our client Master Martini Australia. They're part of a global business headquartered in Italy, supplying high-quality ingredients into bakeries, hotels, manufacturers and foodservice businesses across ANZ. Products include specialty butters, margarine, chocolate, pistachio spreads and premium bakery ingredients.
While they are a global business, the Australian team is still relatively small and in growth mode.
The current sales team has been performing well. The previous Manager has moved into another opportunity internally as the business has expanded quickly. The organisation is now entering its next phase of growth and needs a leader to drive training, structure, consistency and performance across the national sales team.
You'll be managing 6 BDMs nationally, with further expansion already planned (including WA growth). This is not a "sit back and manage reports" Sales Manager role. You'll be heavily involved in the field, coaching, developing and supporting the team across Australia.
The role requires regular interstate travel across NSW, VIC, QLD and WA, typically every second week throughout the year (approximately 26–30 interstate trips annually). Applicants must be comfortable with frequent national travel. The role will also include occasional international travel to Europe and Asia.
You will not carry your own individual sales target - your responsibility is to own the national number and ensure the team delivers against it.
You'll report directly to the GM and operate within a fast-moving, evolving business environment.
The Sydney head office is located in Homebush and offers WFH flexibility.
To be considered, you must have prior experience within either food manufacturing, food ingredients, bakery ingredients, foodservice or food distribution. This is a specialist industry role and we are specifically seeking candidates who understand the products, customers, sales cycles and commercial dynamics of the sector.
So if you're a sales leader who's sick of babysitting underperformers, tired of corporate politics, hungry for growth and wants the chance to genuinely own a national function - apply now.
