Role Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for the daily operation of our manufacturing machines.

A good understanding and working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Assurance Systems, good mechanical aptitude and the possession of a current high risk work licence to operate a forklift are essential for the position.

Must have the ability to successfully plan and organise daily activities and work effectively without supervision.  Planning and organisational skills, and the possession of a flexible approach to daily work activities are required. An ability and willingness to learn and develop with the position is considered essential.

Duties:

• Daily operation of manufacturing machines including but not limited to Beveling machine, CNC Plasma, Barrell Welder, Plate rolling, Hydraulic plate press.

• Other duties may include Oxy/Propane cutting and basic spray painting.

• Participation in daily toolbox meetings.

  • Training will be provided for all required duties.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Reliable attitude to work

• Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

• Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision 

• High Risk Work Licence (LF) is required.

• Ability to operate designated production machinery is desirable.
